Holmesview Nursing Home

Holmesview is a private nursing home set in the bustling community of Broxburn, West Lothian. Part of the Randolph Hill Group, we have a strong reputation for providing 24-hour registered professional nursing care for over 30 years.

We have 60 bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms. There is a nurse call, TV, telephone and Internet access in every bedroom, with WiFi available throughout the home. Eight of the ground floor bedrooms have patio doors opening out onto the garden, which itself is safe and secure. Each floor has its own comfortable, welcoming lounge with wide screen TV, and dining area with a fully-fitted pantry.

The home excels with a full and varied schedule of activities for residents to enjoy, depending on their particular choices, and its own private mini bus, and hairdressing salon.

Holmesview Nursing home offers a warm, safe, stimulating and caring environment for older people. There are also a range of services available as and when care requirements change. Person-centred nursing care lies at the very core of our profession and using this approach we promote independence and encourage our residents to focus on the things they can do rather than the things they can’t.

At Holmesview, Promoting Excellence guidance and knowledge is followed in our in-house dementia training. All staff working in the home will receive training about dementia, at a level that is appropriate to their role in the home. This means that everyone working in the home has an understanding of how dementia can affect people’s lives, and how best they can help to lessen that impact.

We pride ourselves in offering palliative care for older people, ensuring that our residents are comfortable, reassured and dignified in the closing stages of their lives.
