Hodgson Tool Hire Ltd

Started using Hodgson's earlier in 2021. Cannot fault their equipment and service. Great people to speak to on the phone and in the shop. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for Tool & Plant hire whether that be for your business or like myself doing DIY jobs. Stump grinders, 6" Chippers and Mini Diggers are what I use most and are very well maintained from leading manufacturers.

I’m very happy with Hodgsons. We’ve switched to them (mostly at Ainsdale) over the last few months - they’ve been very helpful and supplied excellent equipment. Prices are also very reasonable so I would definitely recommend.

Never a problem
Having seen the other reviews I thought I would try to balance them out with my views on the goods I have hired over the yrs.
Never a problem, from tree stump grinders, chainsaws, and other bits I cannot remember.... but never a problem. Always collected in person thus maybe that's the difference... but having used other hire companies, all of which good but further away from me, I decided on Hodgsons... all good and will be going back for more when needed......thanks,

Hired a digger and chainsaw from hodgsons for the weekend.I was told when I booked the machinery it would be delivered on the Friday for 4.30pm.The digger etc arrived at 12 noon on Saturday.No apology no explanation.I had to ring twice on the Saturday morning to be told it was on its way an hour later it arrived.No instruction given on how to operate the machinery. The invoice came today on collection of machinery I was given a derisory £10.00 off not that I could see in the calculations were the money had been discounted.Poor service insulting compensation and still no apology.service was so poor I would give a one star for turning up eventually
