Hobgoblin Music

Hobgoblin Music, a department in the famous Johnny Roadhouse shop, is Manchester's friendliest musical instrument shop. We specialise in acoustic and folk instruments and accessories, but also stock a good range of classical and rock supplies and instruments for schools. All of our staff are musicians, and our friendly expert advice is free.

We stock guitars, mandolins, ukuleles banjos, bouzoukis, accordions, melodeons, concertinas, harmonicas, bodhrans, cajons, hang drums, djembes, dulcimers, flutes, violins, clarinets, amps, tambourines, thumb pianos, harmoniums, whistles, xylophones, zithers, bagpipes, ocarinas, recorders and so much more, with cases, capos, gig bags, strings and spares for most instruments. We welcome customers to try out instruments, come and find on Oxford Road in the Johnny Roadhouse shop.

Clearing out or upgrading? Bring your instruments to Hobgoblin to trade up or sell. We will consider any instrument for a trade-in, or to sell on your behalf on a commission basis, and we can sometimes buy instruments outright too.

Restrings, setups and repairs are available onsite.
