Hiro Chinese Restaurant

My husband and I were looking for a restaurant on Chinese New Year's Day that served dumplings, and we stumbled across Hiro. The food was surprisingly good -- almost like my mother's cooking! We ate all their selections of dumplings (vegetable, pork and prawn), as well as black pepper beef with broccoli and jumbo prawns with asparagus. Everything was delicious, and I didn't feel a dry mouth from too much msg afterwards. would definitely come back!

The proprietors of this restaurant are very friendly and helpful. We have ordered take-away or home delivery from them many times because a number of their dishes are good, inexpensive and it's nearby. You can eat in the restaurant too which is neatly kept. Our favourites are crispy chicken wings tossed with chilli, salt & pepper; crispy squid julienne; crispy aubergine; tom yam goong; fillet steak with black pepper sauce; and wok-fried beef ho-fun (flat rice noodles). They also offer 7 different set menus which are good value ranging from £10 to £27pp.
