Hertz Rent-a-Car

We had avery bad experience with this company. This was our first and last time to use their services. Normally i often rent a car from different companies (Enterprise rent a car is the best in terms of value and quality of service), and i had never felt terrified with the service and herrassement to add different insurances and services you dont need. First, they made an issue about card payment which was with my wife's card instead of mine (the driver) and never had been told such a thing in different companies in uk or abroad, and even they did not mention such a thing on their website for booking. Second, they increased the price when i was at the office than the one i booked with online (additional unexpected 5£) and they pretended it's the price shown on their system. When i told them that i booked with another price value, they asked me to contact their customer service for a refund, so basically you need to pay a whole lot of money on phone call for some money refund! Third, the firm's policy in terms of scratches or accidents is really ridiculous. Basically if you have an accident with another car (even if it not your fault), you need to pay them full amount of repairs and then deal with insurance company of the driver, and the hertz officer gives you examples of many people who did not get refund and they come to the office complaining, therfore, We were terrified all the time that something may happen to the car. And finally, when we turned it back the guy was complaining about the tank not being full even if it was at the maximum, maybe he was expecting me to bring some bottles in my hund full of diesel!!!!! Or he was looking for a reason to charge me for the full tank.
Never ever i will use this company again, i had the worst experience ever!

Paid to hire a car and went to pick it up on the morning but was told they couldnt give it to us as my mothers credit card did not have her name on as she lives in canada and they dont print the names on cards over there. So i offered to put it on my card only to be told that only the person hiring the car could pay. Now they have taken my deposit and refused to give it back. And i have no car to show for it. Rang customer services who were no help and just lost their temper with me for asking for deposit back. Disgraceful people to deal with and people need to know what they are dealing with
