Architectural antique specialists Heritage Workshops are Cardiff based experts in architectural antiques and the restoration of antique fittings.

We specialise in the restoration of wooden floors and the restoration and fitting of fireplaces. Whilst the majority of our business comes through these two areas, we also excel in the creation of furniture using reclaimed timber.

Heritage Workshops was founded some twenty years ago originally as a partnership, both partners were schooled by Heritage Antiques, formerly of Pontcanna. The partnership dissolved in 2000 and carried on as a sole trader until a few years ago, when the son of the remaining partner joined. Therefore Heritage Workshops became a small, father-son, family-run venture.

5 Star Floor Sanding And Stain Job

Superb work! We have parquet flooring in our front living room and hallway (which we now know is pine). After a clean sanding job, we were shown different colour samples which led to us choosing the perfect colour for our flooring. Work completed to a high standard - Would recommend!

If you want a good job done, use Heritage Workshops!

Can’t say enough in praise of the work Levi did for us recently! Our hall takes daily wear and tear and the parquet blocks certainly show it. We have had them sanded and revarnished twice over the years by other companies but they have never looked as good as they do now. The work was done efficiently, and thoroughly. Mess was non existent and the finished result is outstanding. The icing on the cake is that the cost was extremely competitive. We are totally delighted and would have no hesitation in recommending Heritage Workshops wholeheartedly.

No hesitation in recommending Heritage Workshops

Gary and his son have done an excellent job re-laying our wood block floor and bringing it back to its former glory. Gary was able to advise us about excavating the damaged floor and having a new concrete floor laid. He came and removed the wood blocks before the floor was dug out and returned once the new floor had been laid to replace the blocks. Once laid they were polished and varnished thoroughly. He was prompt, courteous and professional at all times and we appreciated his skills and knowledge.

Amazing Service
