At Heritage Restoration we take pride in the wooden windows we have produced over the last 30 years for customers predominantly in London and the Home Counties.

We can fit slim style double glazed units in your sash windows and install toughened or acoustic glass. We can install our own draft proofing system, designed in-house for improved quality.

We have worked with Richmond Historic Building Department, amongst others, for many years and are familiar with the regulations governing such matters as listed building compliance and protected frontage on housing estates.

Ask us about using reclaimed timber as older, time-seasoned wood has qualities that are not found in 'new' timber. Reclaimed timber is harder, denser and almost impervious to the elements once it has been primed and painted, or simply varnished for a natural finish.

New Sash Windows and Patio Doors

Heritage Restoration had already refurbished the sash windows in our Edwardian house so we asked whether they would build replacements for more modern casement windows and patio doors. The answer was ‘yes’ and we now have new sash windows and patio doors which we are really pleased with. We chose hard wood (for longevity) and double glazed units (for comfort) and would recommend others consider this extra expense.

Sash and fixed windows refurbishment

Really wonderful service from start to finish from a local firm with many years experience in this sector. The contractors were skilled, swift, polite and professional. They dealt with a really challenging situation in one of our rooms with patience and determination. We were thrilled by the result and all the sash windows are working well after some three months. Would really recommend the draft proofing offered with the refurbishment - it really makes a considerable difference and is unobtrusive. Although the costs exceeded the estimate to a large degree, the increase was entirely reasonable in the circumstances as it became clear that the work involved was more substantial than could have been anticipated at the start. Thoroughly recommend.

Sash Window Repairs

Thanks for the work guys. Many companies claimed my windows were 'too far gone' and would only quote for new. Heritage Restoration showed me how my windows could be repaired professionally. The finished work is excellent and we couldn't be happier. Thanks again. Ian, Camden.
