We are a family business and have been incorporated since 2005. The business was originally set up to deliver many different aspects of building surveying including design, planning and building warrant work but ever-increasing enquiries for specialist surveys to determine the many different causes of dampness that affects properties forced a welcome change of direction.

John Durie (Heritage & Design Ltd) has an excellent reputation and is well known in Scotland and the North of England. He has a Masters degree in building conservation from Bath and a first class honours degree in building surveying from Glasgow. He has practiced in South Wales for the last 4 years but still travels to Scotland when necessary however also cover the South West and London but anywhere within reasonable (4 hours) drive of Leominster.

Alison Durie also has a first class honours degree in building surveying as well as a PG diploma and is studying for her Master's degree in Cardiff.

Products include building surveys (previously known as 'full building surveys' or 'structural surveys'), defect surveys (often to determine the causes of dampness) but consultations can also be arranged either on site or via telephone for an hourly rate.
