Cooper BMW diagnosed that my hard drive needed replacing at a cost of 1,300. They suggested this could be repaired but would not undertake the work.
I phoned Mark at Hemingstone BMW who was very helpful and happy to undertake the repair of the hard drive as they have all the latest software from BMW.
I booked the car in and waited in their customer lounge while Carl removed the drive which would be sent to a specialist they use for this type of repair. This was returned after one week. Everyone went the extra mile as we were off to see family at Xmas leaving on Friday. Mark arranged special next day delivery from the electronic's company in Bradford to arrive by 1pm on the Friday. I was home by 1,30pm and on my way to Eastbourne with navigation and all functions working. Hemingstone were excellent, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, completing the work at a fraction of the cost quoted by Coopers. They will will be looking after my X5 for all future servicing. Carl & Mark at Hemingstone have serviced and made various repairs to my X5 V8 and I can honestly say I would recommend them, they are always spot on when diagnosing faults, they are competitively priced and always take the extra time to talk me through any repairs in detail so that I understand fully before proceeding with the work. BMW's can be complicated machines because of all the on-board technology and it’s great to know that there is a specialist with the level of expertise Hemingstone have local to be.
