All our cabs/taxis and drivers are licensed by Ipswich Borough Council, all vehicles undergo strict annual / six monthly inspections. We operate a fully computerised dispatch system, we currently have: -

Callback /Textback- Provides our customers prior knowledge of the arrival of the taxi / cab, with the vehicle details text to the mobile that made the booking.

SMS Text Booking - Allowing registered customers to make bookings by simply texting a key word and optional time.

GPS-The system plots our drivers position through satellite links and digital mapping software, this ensures the correct vehicle receives the booking and allows use to check routes taken by our drivers afterwards. A creepy driver isnt good for business

I usually have no problems with this company but now I'm being bothered by a driver who even though I've paid my fare has decided he is going to call me from all different numbers text me messaging me all because he wants more money and because of him I no longer feel safe using this Company

Not Reliable and friendly

I did a pre-booking for 2hours earlier and they never assigned any driver to me until it was 10mins to my journey. They made me miss my train that I have to wait for another 45mins in the train station and delayed for my appointment. It is not nice, I have to book another train costing me extra £20. This lady that picks call always drops call on clients everytime you want to explain your situation to her, that is absurd.

Extremely poor customer service

Booked a cab from home just outside Ipswich to the Duke of York in Woodbridge with a return trip home for 10:30. Waiting outside the pub a message came through saying the cab was outside. The cab was outside the Duke of York in Woodbridge Road in Ipswich. We called Hawk Express and asked what was going on, the controller heard someone in the back ground say idiots and they said get a cab from someone else. It was obviously their fault so what did they expect us to say. The lady if I could possibly called her that had an obnoxious nature a really horrible person. When I booked the cab originally the controller also had this disgusting attitude. A really horrible inefficient rude company to deal with.

Appalling service beyond belief

Firstly, my pre-booked cab to the station didn't turn up, and when I had the audacity to challenge this they put the phone down on me! I phoned back 3 times and ended up walking to the station but missed my train so had to pay for another. Oh and it get's worse - the cab was booked at 08.15 and at 09.15 I get a call from the driver asking where I was as he was outside my house (and he confirmed that he was booked for the later time!). I've tried 3 times to register a complaint with Hawk but they don't reply and I assume just don't care. Avoid this company at all costs would be my advice unless you have a penchant for rude, arrogant, unhelpful and aggressive businesses.

Why prebook!

Service is good if your outside their office or train station etc but prebooking a car for an early pickup anywhere else and it's a long wait! We booked for 5.40am. Car eventually turned up at 6.20 an operative although polite just said nothing she can do atleast 5 other customers are also late and still waiting. The drivers will always be given the next closet drop. So it seems prebooking with hawk is a complete waste of time unless ur lucky enough to be near the last drop! Nearly an hour late which left people should outside in the cold waiting for me
