Halfords Autocentre Witney

My friend called in after X1 had a coolant issue whilst borrowing our car . The person she saw made her wait 10 mins without acknowledging her but happy to speak to other people asking questions. He was very disinterested , they didn’t hold the coolant ( fair enough ) but then sent her to a garage with vague directions . Poor customer service . Avoid .

Absolute rip off, they told me I needed 4 new tyres and new brake pads, work that would cost over £1000. I took my car to another reputable garage who told me that was rubbish and I didn't need any new tyres! I did need new brake pads but they told me that Halfords had fitted them incorrectly previously! Total cost was £199 no where near £1000!

Level of service satisfactory and time to complete within that specified but disappointed that having removed the wheels and discovered they needed balancing they were then put back and added to invoice as a recommended item. It would have been better if I had been contacted and asked if it could be done then. Also, very disappointed that the cost of a "needs fixing" brake discs and pads was 48% higher than a local 4X4 specialist.

Told to turn up between 1-5pm to have a new tyre fitted and have this in an email. Only to be turned away stating you appointment was 1pm please book another time and day..... Guess what I will, with another garage. Easy

Lovely, friendly staff, left car for MOT and interim service. No issues. Would recommend.
