I booked this electrician (Steve) in advance to have an electric certificate done in a large house of multiple occupancy and we agreed day and time. I told him that this is urgent. I have to meet a deadline this to be done to meet safety standards required by the council. If he would now have told me that he couldn't attend within the time frame given, I would have commissioned another. That would have been no problem. Reliable, organised tradesmen know their capacities. He said no problem, gave me a price without even looking at the job and we agreed day of work to be done.

So the day came and just to double check and for peace of mind, I contacted Steve by SMS the evening before (at 5:15pm) just to confirm that he would come the next day at 8am. He texted me back that we would "have to reschedule because of an emergency job"!

Now, would he have bothered to informed me of his "emergency" if I wouldn't have messaged him? Or would he just have not shown up and given me the excuse after the fact? I asked then for the next possible time slot but he never answered back.

Now, that is a very unprofessional manner to conduct business. I strongly discourage from booking this time waster. I wonder if some of his mates might have written these glowing reviews which led me believe that this would be a reliable tradesman. Makes one really wonder.

If there would be a zero button or a minus button I would have clicked that instead of giving a one star.

Steve has performed a full installation on a new build project for us. He completely designed the whole installation from start to finish and provided us plenty of information along the way to aid us in making decisions on what we wanted. Steve no nonsense and straight talking approach was a refreshing change from to ooohs, and ahhs you normally get from trades people.

All in all a highly recommended company that we would most definitely us again and would thoroughly recommend to anyone

I WOULD NOT EVEN RATE 1 FOR THE JOB HE DONE FOR US. THESE ARE THE THINGS I HAVE NOTICED.
INTIALL RESPONSE WOULD BE VERY GOOD.
HIS QUOTE MIGHT BE CHEAP COMPARE TO OTHERS; HE WILL NOT DO ALL JOB WHAT HE MENTIONED IN THE QUOTE, AVOID TOUGH/TIME COUNSUMING JOBS BY TELLING SILLY TECHNICAL REASONS WHICH WE ARE NOT AWARE.
HE WILL START PESTURING ABOUT MONEY FORM THE DAY ONE WITHOUT FINISHING THE JOB. IF YOU PAY THE MONEY THAT IT YOU ARE GONE. DON'T PAY MONEY UNTLL HE FINISH THE WORK.
HE IS NOT BOATHERED TO GIVE CERTIFICATE.
HE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO TALK TO CLIENTS. HE WAS VERY RUDE WITH US.
I WOULD NOT RECOMEND HIM AT ALL

Within 36 hours and 2 visits Steve had very efficiently and friendly completed the job, despite being very busy! I would definitely recommend Steve and I will not hesitate to use him again, for any job big or small. Overall, a very high standard service, thanks again.

Steve spoke to us late at night when we called after 11.20 pm and arranged to come around the next day to sort out some electrical issues. Happy with service, good price and would definately use again. Thanks Nick and Sam.
