So very unhappy

I wrote a glowing review of Alex's work in May but since then I have been terribly disappointed. His work has been inconsistent and there are a number of pieces which I now cannot wear. When I spoke to him about this he was very defensive and only said he did nothing wrong. No sorry, no let's see if I can fix, no nothing. Will not go back. Angry and unhappy at his response. Expected better.

Unprofessional service & only interested in upsell - they told us to 'do it ourselves'!

Poor customer service - when asking for tailoring requests on a bridesmaids dress, the tailor kept saying 'NO' and then turned around and told us to 'do it ourselves'...

We had to shout out back for service as the place was empty on arrival. They weren't interested in anything complex, unless they could upsell and design a full new dress.

It was an unprofessional and unpleasant experience.

Shop shut early with poor notification.

Shop shut early on Saturday 27th August 2022 with no explanation on shop front. Having traveled a good distance was not impressed. Was told by an employee who had just shut up shop at 12.00 that the owner was on holiday and no one available to do resize of trouser waist till 5th September when he was back. So now looking elsewhere. Would have been good to put that information on their website. Suggest if you are going there ring first to save wasting time.

Excellent

Brilliant service in Godalming. Nothing in too much trouble for Alex, he is a master of his craft having altered two garments for me to a perfect standard. I asked him to replace the lining of a complicated skirt and the quality of his work was awesome. He was very quick in completing the work. His pricing is very reasonable also. I would definitely recommend this service.
