Business overview
NORTHUMBERLAND'S LARGEST ANTIQUE SHOP
Thank you for visiting Graham Smith Antiques, we are a British antiques business based in North East England, on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne. We have been established since 1999, although Graham himself has almost 44 years experience in the antiques trade.
Our philosophy is "Excellence through consistent quality"; using our experience of the antiques trade we aim to provide customers with the knowledge and confidence that is necessary when buying antiques.
We are members of two reputable trade associations, LAPADA (antique dealers association) and CINOA (International Confederation of Traders in Works of Art). Both of these organisations have codes of practice that their members are regulated by, incorporating not only pricing and accuracy rules but also consumer protection laws. We are proud to be members of these organisations and Graham Smith is also on the board of directors at LAPADA, after being voted into this position by his peers within the trade in 2005.

5I do have one question. The desk was dated c1880. The locks are all stamped Hobbes & Co a firm whose name changed in 1855. Does that mean the desk is 25 years older than we thought?
Thank you for your review The circa 1880 date is an approximate date but the desk will not be as early as 1855 but could be a few years older. Graham
