Gordon Greaves Slate Ltd

Just had new work tops fitted in a Holiday Let property and they were a disaster to deal with from start to finish! Emma failed in every respect and so did Gordon. Commitments broken and then denied. They were weeks late delivering, which resulted in costing me more in lost rental income and compensation to guest who had Christmas and New Year bookings, than they total cost of the work tops! Not a single apology, admission of fault or penny off the cost from Gordon Greaves Slate Ltd! But take a look at their premises for yourself and you will see the total disorder they work in! They could be OK at producing headstones, but then the dead regrettably aren’t able to complain!

I would not rate this company at a 2 at all if it wasn’t for their product, however their customer service has massively let them down for me.
We initially had a guy out who measured our windows for slate sills and when these arrived, none of them fit! We contacted and the guy who had measured had left on sick and had done this to other customers so were not the only ones affected. They sent out a joiner to re measure and got us a quote that was nearly half the cost again! After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing we finally came to a compromise and added more sills to our order. Our downstairs ones came and they looked stunning and fit a treat! Looking as though this was sorted we waited for the upstairs ones. The day arrived and whilst in bed our delivery arrived and was left outside in the middle of winter in our garden, no gates, low slatted fence on the main road for all to see. I rang and they had only attempted one number and felt this was fine! Massively disappointed in the service!

I can not recommend this company highly enough. From first enquiry to completed installation, the service was first class. My kitchen worktops look AMAZING. If you want a bit of the Lake District in your kitchen/ bathroom look no further. Thank you Michelle, Gordon and team. Fab
