Glasper Lee Design Ltd is an Architectural practice based in the town centre of Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham which was established in September 2018. We cater for all project types and sizes, ranging from small to large domestic and commercial extensions/alterations; new build and bespoke dwellings; barn conversions and changes of use; residential development schemes; industrial and commercial schemes; and many more! We are a professional and friendly practice who are more than happy to have a no obligation chat with prospective clients about their projects requirements. The practice is ran by Matthew Lee, who has over ten years experience working within Architecture and Planning. Matthew is a Chartered Architectural Technologist (MCIAT), a protected title granted by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) demonstrating he is experienced, qualified and competent to offer a full range of architectural services from inception to completion. The practice is also registered with CIAT.

Matthew has done our drawings on our extension. He has been absolutely fantastic from start to finish, very professional in what he does. Every single question or query we have had he has answered straight away nothing is to big or small, every detail is covered! I would highly recommend Matthew his work is outstanding and he is a genuine person to work with! I can't recommend Matthew Lee from Glasper Lee Design anymore, his work ethic and design vision has helped us to completely rework our 3 bedroom semi detached into a large open plan 4 bedroom home.

I highly recommend Glasper Lee Design Ltd for architectural services in County Durham

Matthew drew up the required plans and drawings for our garage conversion and obtained the planning permission that we required, as well as the authorisation from Building Control for us to start the work. We have now almost finished the work, following his drawings and guidance - but work is currently on hold due the the corona virus lockdown. Building Control have passed all the stages during the work, and we now just have the final building inspection to arrange when the work is completed in order to get the completion certificate. At all times Matthew has been very attentive, courteous, helpful and supportive, and I would highly recommend him to anyone requiring architectural services in County Durham or the surrounding area.

Contacted Matthew 12 months ago to discuss an extension to the back of the house, we needed to change the flow of the kitchen and dining room and also incorporate a pantry. Matthew called took measurements and created 4 different stunning designs that combined all of our requirements. These designs were shown to us as a printed plan and also a 3D computer image, this helped to guide us as to what the final build would look like. Matthew was very creative with the floor space and we finally choose a design that best suited our requirements. He also helped guide us with approximate costs, list of builders, structural engineers and planning permission. We would highly recommend Matthew for his patience, knowledge of the building trade, design experience and very approachable manner. The work is now under way and looking forward to showing Matttew the finished extension in the next 4/5 weeks. Steve & Clare

Excellent service from Matthew from Glasper Lee design - He guided us through every step of our design, and planning application, was very knowledgable and always able to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be using Glasper Lee design again in the future.
