Since 1890 George McAlpine has been a family business crafting and installing fireplaces, wood-burning and multi-fuel stoves for both builders and public alike. In this time we have established an excellent reputation for our high standard of workmanship.
Within our showroom we have an extensive selection of marble, stone, limestone, wood, cast iron and hole in the wall unit fireplaces, ranging from traditional to contemporary styles and offered in a wide choice of finishes and sizes.

Superb Service
5From being in the showroom and placing our order with Stephen right through to completion of our new fire , every person we dealt with was professional and efficient.
I had been informed it would take 3 days to install as there were builders needed. The builders came, the gas guy, the fire installers then the plasterer, they all just flowed with the job, no hold ups, every guy so pleasant and respectful of our home.
I had one minor grievance but when I called them they came out the next morning at 9am and fixed it within 30 minutes.
Can’t recommend this company highly enough, superb service.

5From start to finish the service I received from the whole team at George McAlpine & Sons was exceptional.
In the showroom, refreshingly, there was no pushy sales team just helpful expert advice from staff who took time to answer my many questions. I had visited lots of other places looking for a fire and surround but here I found staff who were willing to go that extra mile to customise and configure a surround to just the way I wanted.
When it came to installation, there was quite a lot of work needed to reinstate our old chimney and install gas and I was impressed with the way all this was carried out leaving absolutely no mess behind.
All
work was carried out at a time convenient to ourselves and the workmanship was excellent.
I am delighted with my fire and surround and the service I received at every step of the process. At George McAlpine & Sons I found a team who listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond to make that happen.
