Didn't bother turning up.

"Robin" arranged to meet at a property I'd bought to quote the replacement of lead pipes. He didn't turn up, not even bothering to tell me he wouldn't be coming. When I called GCB to check, the first man I spoke with said I'd "called the wrong number", then checked with his colleague, who then came on the phone to say Robin had called in sick that morning. No apology. Neither Robin nor GCB had the decency or courtesy to at least tell me the meeting was cancelled beforehand. When an employee calls in sick, surely the intelligent thing a firm should do is tell the clients? A £20 taxi fare and a day's pay wasted.

Definitely recommend.

Excellent from start to finish, we had a leak so I contacted Check a Trade, GCB Utilities responded first and quickly. I arranged a suitable time for their plumber to call, the leak was found and isolated and I arranged another date for the work to be carried out. Communication with the office was excellent, I didn’t have to wait too long for a response to any of my questions, the plumber was polite and friendly and did an excellent job and for a very reasonable price. Based on my experience I would definitely recommend GCB Utilities to anyone requiring a plumber.
