Gary Cunningham - Piano Tutor

during the last 3 years,Garry has been tutoring our 11 year old , has lit the spark of music, and has also bee somewhat of a accomplished mentor, taking him through rock school exams gaining merit and destinction. unfortunately he has now moved further afield. to our dismay.
so to sum it up he can instil the gift of music from the beginner to the more accomplished.a first class honest and reliable tutor . the best choice for anyone wanting a good tutor. our loss is your gain. (no payment received for this review) {unfortunately lol}

I have a five year old daughter who has been having lessons with Gary for the past few months, and I am blown away by her progress. My daughter Previously had piano lessons at her school where she was taught to read and play the music by colour, after an initial assessment from Gary it was clear to him, to teach my daughter correctly he would have to start from the very beginning and I’m delighted he did.My daughter can now read music play her scales and follow simple music sheets. Gary also very cleverly teaches her things like different music beats, names and rhythm which he dose in a way that my daughter soaks up without even realising.
Gary dose all of this in a kind caring and professional manner, I hear him constantly say to my daughter through her lessons “it’s ok to make mistakes you are learning”
He gives her confidence and has so much patience.Additionally to all of this Gary sends weekly emails with a progress target and lesson recap.I would highly recommend Him

Gary immediately put my 6 year old and 4 year old at ease, despite them being very shy. He was exceptionally patient and worked at their own pace. I would highly recommend Gary to anyone wishing to learn piano.

Our son started his lesson with Gary couple of months ago and the progress we have witnessed so far from our son is unbelievable!
Observing Gary's tutoring skills he has got the balance " Stop on." Meaning he has made the lessons fun and exceptionally educational.
As parents, we think making the lesson fun and educational has captivated our son's interest and in doing so has made our son eager and enthusiastic about his lessons with Gary.

As a self admitted anxious parent, I was nervous about picking the right piano teacher for my child, but I have to say the Gary is actually quite impressive. He took the time to figure out the best way to teach her and was extremely patient with her. This man is a genius!
