Hello and thank you for checking my advert.

I am an expert Maths teacher with 25 years experience of teaching hundreds of students of all ages, backgrounds and abilities at all levels including SATS, GCSE, A level, Further A level and Entrance Exams which include STEP maths papers for Oxford and Cambridge entrance. I have a great track record of helping students achieve the best possible results in their exams and strive to create a purposeful organised environment in my lessons, tailoring them to the needs of the student and the requirements of the curriculum so that progress is guaranteed.

For my students aiming for exams I make sure that all aspects of the curriculum are covered and plenty of time is spent going though past papers. In this way my students are completely prepared and achieve excellent results.

I am fully qualified with a masters degree and a PGCE (teaching qualification) and I hold a current DBS check.

Garry came highly recommended to me when I was looking for extra tuition in ALevel Maths for my son and I would also highly recommend him. He was very flexible with lessons when we had to change last minute and my son’s not only gained knowledge from Garry but got his confidence in the subject back and is now on track to achieve an A, previously getting B’s in his mocks.

We brought Garry in to work with our daughter for her GCSEs, he was very friendly and straight away he made her feel at ease. She enjoyed her lessons as she knew it was helping her and he is great at making things clearer. He is very patient and doesn’t rush through things. Having Garry took away the stress and worry over the maths exam so she could have more revision focus on other subjects. She went in to her exam feeling more confident than her mocks,

Excellent Maths Tutor

My son is in year 8 and Garry has tutored him for the past 6 months. Garry has taught him good techniques and how to approach complex maths problems. He has helped him with his speed and ultimately his confidence and enjoyment of maths.

My daughter has received tuition from Garry for three years and having previously struggled, she got fabulous reults in her mocks and is now in line to get high grades in her GCSEs. She has grown so noticably in confidence, ability and attitude to maths.
Garry has a very laid back manner, he is approachable and encouraging and his vast experience teaching in high schools and further education very much shows.
Garry has also been very accomodating on the odd occasion where we have been unavailable and he always offers flexibility, which not many tutors can provide.

Excellent Maths tutor

Garry has just finished tutoring my daughter for her GCSE in Maths. Throughout the lessons Garry has always been patient and understanding and is always prompt and reliable. His ability, both in the subject area and in teaching is first rate, and he has undoubtedly enabled my daughter to make significant progress.
