Garage Door Company

Novoferm owns Cardale and the garage door company. I had a quote for a new garage door from The garage door company who said they beat any genuine quote, I asked what they need for this and they stated the whole specification would need to be exactly the same as they have quoted. Now that's impossible as this would mean the electric motor/control unit has to be a Cardale one but cant be as Cardale only supply to The garage door company meaning you cant beat the quote if the supplier of the parts only supply to themselves.
Cardale will state they supply to other companies other than the garage door company however only in non serviceable areas, which means its more than likely you cannot get from another supplier.

We had an issue with the garage door of our new home as it wasn't opening fully. I called this company and they offered a free survey. A guy came around checked everything said the motor needs replacing and the door also needs 2 pivot points on both sides of the door to open the garage door fully. Took the full payment of £380 straight away and left. 3 days later a fitter came in with the new motor but forgot to bring the pivot points. With the new motor It worked the exact same way as the old motor. The fitter took the old motor with him without even asking. We rang the company straight away to inform them about the pivot points and the fact that the garage door is in the same condition. They kept delaying responses giving us different excuses everyday: Parts unavailable, fitters on honeymoon, fitter's wife is sick etc so I started emailing them and they turned up the very next day with the parts. The fitters installed the pivot points and the garage door was working properly.

Phoned the company with a fault regarding the door and they came out the next day. The engineer rang me 30 minutes beforehand and duly arrived on time. Gareth who I believe came out of the Sheffield operation carried out the repair in a very efficient, professional and friendly manner and everything was left spot on. I was contacted by the company the following day to check everything was ok. Really impressed overall with the quality of the work carried out and the general customer service provided by the company. Highly recommended.

Had a Merlin door fitted today, brilliant service from two young men, a credit to your company.

Awful experience, I would NEVER recommend this company. I had a garage door fitted in June it was damaged, too small and the wrong design, it was fitted dangerously with big screws sticking out the frame, wouldn't lock, not weather proof and looked a bodge job. I got straight onto the management and told multiple times it would be sorted, after 5 MONTHS and 30-40 phone calls I finally got another door, however had to pay extra to get this, the company accepted NO responsibility or gave any compensation, told would not get a refund. The customer service was appalling had fitters not turn up multiple times and the management and office when contacted didn't care. This company just wants to make a sale at ANY COST to the customer. Even the staff kept stating they hated working for the company, they were not looked after so they didn't care. I'm surprised this company is still in business!
