Galleon Fireplaces

One star for this waste of time supplier. I bought an electric fire from them on eBay and it arrived poorly packed and damaged in transit. I raised a return in eBay and sent photos of the damage. Trying to arrange a specific date for collection they are not responding and their phone number is unobtainable. To top it all their website account has been suspended. I think this will have to be raised with eBay/Paypal. Don't buy from these people.

terrible customer service, they take your money then never answer the phone, avoid at all cost

We had a gas fire fitted about 2 years ago by Galleon, which was excellent. After a year we had a problem where the fire kept cutting out. We called Galleon back to repair. Made arrangements twice with them to return and they never showed on both occasions, telling me after I phoned them that they were busy (never mind that I’d taken time off work to be there) On the third occasion when they did arrive they charged me £150 said they had replaced a part and serviced it. 20 mins after Galleon left the fire cut out. It’s taken nearly a year of us trying to contact them to arrange for them to return. I was told it was going to cost more money. When I told them that I had paid to have it serviced and repaired already they become very agitated. We are now using an independent gas fitter to repair it.
After care and general service is shocking and I would never recommend them to my worst enemy. Been a nightmare !

The after service from this company is shocking, The fire worked for a year or so but now keeps turning off after 5 mins, the technicians tried a few things without success - which I have paid for, but now I can not contact them and they do not return my calls - and my fire is still faulty.

From start to finish Galleon Fireplaces did a fantastic job. We highly recommend them.
