Quality Devon Joinery - G S Haydon & Son Ltd

We are a joinery firm based in Devon established in 1926. We produce a wide range of quality joinery products, stairs, doors, casement windows, sliding sashes in hardwoods, oak and softwood. We also complete interior projects such as office fit outs, reception desks and wardrobes. Our products combine modern levels of performance while retaining the classic appearance that timber joinery provides. All of our joinery is made in our Devon workshop

These stairs were designed by a local architect and fitted into a private home. They had may unique features. We also installed these stairs.
This hardwood window was made for a private home in Devon. We made a like for like copy of the original window. The window is made from oak. The outside was painted to match in with the other windows and the inside was left oak to compliment the clients furniture.
This is a traditional sliding sash window made for a listed home. It is operated by weights and pulleys and has all the detailing required for it to be an accurate period window. It was provided to the building contractors who fitted it on site.
These hardwood stairs were designed by a local architect. They comprise of helical strings and wreathed handrails. The architect selected the hardwood Sapele to compliment the existing brickwork. We installed the stairs too.
These stairs were designed by a local architect. The stairs are elliptical with a cut and bracketed string. It has an elliptical mahogany handrails that really finishes it of well. We installed the stairs and the client finish painted them.
Working with a loacl builder we made the joinery required to create this hardwood conservatory. It is is double glazed and was pre finished with an oak stain in our workshop.
We designed, made and installed this oak bookcase to fit into an old Devon Farmhouse. It created a quiet reading room within the house and complimented the existing details of he house very well.
Fitted wardrobe in the Regency style. Details were reflective of typical of the detailing found within the listed property. Interanlly the cupboards were Oak lined with accent pieces of Cedar of Lebanon.

A pleasure to deal with.

Haydons supplied and installed a bespoke stable-style front door for us. They were so easy to deal with: communication with the office was great; adjustments were made exactly to our spec; staff were courteous and friendly; and the job was done beautifully. I'd recommend this firm.

GS Haydon & Son. Have been supplied us with Bespoke Joinery items to a high quality and standard. We have found the service friendly, reliable and knowledgeable. Due to the type of property's we work on listed buildings ect often requires production to be done at very short notice which GS Haydon have fulfilled for us without any problems. Professional, Efficient and Perfect

Great professional service, no messing around. We needed a gothic window converted into patio doors in the same style. Haydon's were brilliant, no fuss at all, they came in removed the gothic window to take away and turn into patio doors. Clean, efficient and friendly. And what a job patio door looks as if it has always been there. Great Great job.
