Had a very poor experience with the Cambridge store.

Hired a post hole borer, that struggled to start, and took longer to start than it did to bore out a hole. Once started, it struggled to even idle without cutting out, unless the accelerator was held at a low rev. This even continued once the machine was warm.

I had to bore out 6 holes, all of which were very soft sandy ground, which didn’t take long to do with a post hole digger, but was time consuming due to the sand & soil falling back in. So I used the borer to bore these holes out.

I returned the borer about 5 hours later, and explained to the staff member that it ran rough and struggled to start. He said, oh, sorry about that.

A few days later I was refunded a smaller amount than expected, & also received an invoice which said I had been charged to sharpen the blade. I don’t know how it was made blunt from that ground, but I never got a response from the team. Nothing was done about the extra unreasonable charge.

Recently hired a carpet cleaner and pressure washer. My carpets came up a treat and look as good as new. Thank you, your advise was really useful. I will definitely be hiring from you in the future.
