We started in 2004 by offering the transfer of VHS, VHS-C, Video 8, Hi8 and Mini DV, after a month or two we were in a position to introduce our audio and cine transfers as well as offering more video formats. By the end of 2004, we had taken on some trade clients in the form of small photographic shops in Edinburgh and Falkirk and carried out transfer work on their behalf until they all closed between 2006 – 2008.

As the years progressed we increased the range of video formats to include professional formats such as Betacam and DVCam, presently we can transfer all video formats Except U-Matic. We also introduced transfer from photographic negatives and slides and can currently scan the following 110, 126,127, 120, 220, 35mm, APS and Kodak Disc, one of our clients for slide scanning was Blair Drummond Safari Park where we converted their slides to jpg image files.

In 2017 G.H.S Media Productions was formed to provide filming services with our first clients being the charity CLEAR based in Buckhaven, Fife and Alex Horror Films also located in Fife. For Alex horror Films we recorded behind the scenes footage for three short horror films and produced short documentaries showing the progress of the filming, the films where The Swap, The Demon in the Woods and The Murder of Crows. For the charity CLEAR we shot and edited a short promotional video documenting the opening of Buckhaven’s community cinema as well as producing a 5-minute promotional video showing what CLEAR do to improve the local area of Buckhaven.

In December 2019 a decision was made to combine both G.H.S Video & DVD Service and G.H.S Media Productions into one company which is now G.H.S Media, by doing this we can offer all our services in one place making it easier and less confusing for our customers and clients to see what we offer. We still offer the same high-quality as before but it’s now easier for us to offer our services in one place as well as offering a few new ones.
