Good for another hundred years !

after nearly 50 years here we decided to have the entire roof re-done. Probably last done in 1920, so 100 years. Not too bad.

After a good deal of research we chose G Dowdeswell.

Gary and his sons were great, can't recommend them highly enough.

Basically, they offered the best price, arrived when they said, and finished within a week of estimated time, despite the snow. After two years the roof still looks great.

During the work, they kept everything watertight, cleared up the mess every day, and were always cheerful and polite. The final invoice was fair, and gave us credit for work found to be not needed.

If you have a Grade II Listed Building and you need the roof fixed, look no further than the Dowdeswells. The job was professionally done on budget (there were no hidden extras) and to schedule. My wife and I are really pleased with the job, and enjoyed our engagement with the team.

Happy Customer, Happy Stone Roof!

The service was excellent, the price quoted was the price paid, the team started work on the day they said they would and finished a day ahead of schedule. They were friendly, polite, very clean and tidy and considerate with our neighbours whose properties join ours.
We were very impressed with the quality of their work and the attention to detail in getting new stone tile to blend in with the old. We were welcomed onto the scaffold to see how the work was progressing and they took photos along the course of the work to create a record for us. Very happy with the work.

Excellent job at a fair price

We had our Cotswold farmhouse entirely re-roofed. Gary gave us honest advice & a good quote. Started work exactly when agreed. His roofers were always polite & considerate and kept the mess to a minimum. Expert stone tile work. The job was finished when promised, and looks really beautiful. Would highly recommend.
