The Full Diagnostic Assessment process

Once we have agreed on a date and time, a background questionnaire will be sent out to you that you will need to bring with you (or email) on the day of assessment. The assessment takes between 2 and 4 hours to complete.

During this time, we look at the key areas of difficulty that are impacted by dyslexia and examine strengths and difficulties in these areas (general ability, short-term memory, visual memory, working memory, rapid retrieval form the long-term memory, phonological awareness, phonological memory, processing speed, single word reading, comprehension, oral reading speed, fluency and accuracy and writing speed).

Once the assessment is over, the results will be calculated and a report will be formed. This usually takes up to 15 working days.

You will be emailed when the report is sent and we can book a feedback session to discuss the results.

Following this, we are on hand to answer any follow up questions or help with recommendations and putting them into place.
