Terrible management

Quite terrible service from Bill who supposedly is a manager but I was told that he acts like one but isn’t especially if I told him that my partner is allergic to lemon before making his drink he then put lemon in it, if that were a manager they would be sacked on the spot for that, he didn’t know about allergies and had received fair few complaints before he didn’t know how to make a basic cocktail he had to ask a bartender how to make it he claims that he had worked there for 5 years when I had worked at this place before so their standards have dropped they refused to give us a table when the restaurant was empty that it was only by booking even when i said I had worked there before cant they make an exception which they still said no. The staff were better than the management. nice blonde lady was working well and was nice to us didn’t know her name though but sadly. management definitely needs work but employees were great there the only reason I’m giving 2 stars

Just had Christmas menu turkey pie mash peas tragedy pie was atrocious over cooked hard as nails poor filling mash was poor no tast only thing Werth eating was peas

Avoid

New to MK tried out this restaurant which food wasn't bad (Not great either)
Entered our number plate into parking machine,had our meal and then had a walk down to the lake was there less than 2 hours
Now I've just received a parking fine but as I'm disabled and have a mobility car the lease company received the fine and forwarded it to us now I'm over the 14day so have a £100 fine will definitely not be using this restaurant again

Hi Mary, If you entered the correct number plate in the system you would not have had a ticket as it would have registered it unfortunately you will need to try and appeal this fine as we can’t help the lease company not forwarding it to you quicker

New parking charges

Beware there are parking charges now!!! signs are so small that we didn't see them so we got stung with £100 fine this used to be a free carpark now they are catching their once loyal customers out

Hi Craig, Thank you for your review our car park is free if you enter your number plate into the system in the pub when dining with us as stated on the 34+ signs in the car park as-well as 2 big boards when renter the actually pub this has been in place now since November 2021 so isn’t a new thing and our regular loyal customers are aware of these parking charges hope this helps
