She purchased a brand new MG HS Automatic from a dealer in Newcastle. It became apparent that the wrong cruise control unit had been fitted to the car. The unit for a manual model had been fitted instead of an automatic one at the point of manufacture. He implied that we had probably broken the original unit and replaced it with the wrong one.
