We've been teaching piano classes in Cardiff since 2000. We are experts in group tuition and have been a guiding light for other local schools to learn from, looking to utilise teaching skills gained from Forte training and teaching methods in their own teaching - what a compliment!

There isn't a moment of down time in our progressive syllabus, which combines visual, kinaesthetic and auditory learning for a multi-sensory learning experience unique to Forten which will soon become a highlight of your week!

Co-writer of Forte courses and still teaching in his own Forte school, Paul's greatest passion is encouraging life-long music making through music education and the positive effect this has on people’s lives. Learning music has been proven to have a long lasting, positive effect on brain development

Gillian co-founded the Forte School of Music through a love of the small group learning environment, where children's self confidence can blossom. She believes in a fine aural development program for this auditory art form and that, given the right conditions, everyone can learn to play music.

At Forte School Of Music, students cover all aspects of musical development - playing, reading, listening, writing, composition, rhythm, pitch, harmony, ensembles, performance - which places them well for learning other instruments, and for working professionally as musicians, should they choose to.

Inspiring teaching

I have recently joined Forte as a private and classroom teacher. After having spent 4 years teaching in London, which included numerous teacher training events, I can say with confidence that I have learned more in few weeks with Forte than I did in a couple of years in London. The teaching methodology is incredibly well organised and thought through to the finest detail. Classes are delivered in a natural, fun and engaging way that is perfected suited to the age range. If you are seeking classroom music lessons then I have yet to come across a better method despite many years in music education. Highly recommended!

Excellent pre school music group

I've been taking my son to the pre school jungle music class on a Friday, for over 2 years. For the cost of the lesson you get books and a CD with all the songs covered in each theme. My son has loved it. It has helped to develop his understanding of rhythmn and timing and has encouraged his love of music. He has also met some lovely friends along the way. Would definitely recommend.
