Absolutely awful experience. Sub par work. Once he has your money he does not care one bit

Dan was friendly, but the quality of his work and after-service were poor. The wiring was left untidy, and a friend, who’s an electrician, pointed out that it was below standard. I’m not one for confrontation, so I paid despite the lack of care in his work.

The job needed some non-negotiable fixes to be safe, and while Dan agreed to come back, it took weeks of unanswered messages and broken promises. When he finally returned, he fixed the essential issues but didn’t tidy up the wiring as agreed.

He also installed loose fixings on a brick wall, and within a week, I had to call him back as insecure. Sure enough, the gates came off in high winds months later. A friend, a metal fabricator, confirmed he’d used wrong bolts instead of resin anchors and helped re-secure it properly.

Hopefully they learn from this.

Dan was lovely to deal with initially but his post-sales customer service is dreadful. When (having paid a hefty deposit) I finally got him to give me a date to start he arrived on time and seemed to do a good job. However, the gates fell off their hinges within the first day - and it took well over a week to get him back, and they fell off their hinges again almost immediately. A couple more weeks (and many unanswered calls and messages until I called on a number he didn’t recognise) and he put more substantial hinges on. But three days later the remotes stopped working and I couldn’t open the gates to get my car out. He answered a text message to tell me he was on holiday and to operate them manually. And two weeks later, and many unanswered calls and messages later I was left with no choice by to get the gate controls fixed by a third party. If only I hadn’t paid the balance of the job immediately on completion I wouldn’t have had this problem. This has been a sub-par experience.

Within a few hours of phoning the welding I required had been completed and the victorian cutting table was working. I have already recommended and will definitely return for other welding jobs. Friendly and competent.
