Forest Books of Cheshire

I've been a book collector since the age of 9, when I first bought a book because I thought it was particularly unusual rather than just another John Buchan for me to read, turned out to be an unusual Rackham illustrated. I was lucky to live close to London so I got to know lots of the bookshop dealers such as Rota, plus lots around the British Museum. My father was a great reader and our house was stuffed with second hand books, and I used to help to carry those we were going to resell in London, and we usually made enough money for at least one matinee and an evening theatre or ballet performance!
