Loft extension 2024

Fordhams undertook a loft extension for us in early 2024. The team were excellent, very polite, clean and professional. Thank you to Sam, Liam and Ryan and team for your hard work. Their workmanship was of a very high quality. The project was delivered on time as planned. Would certainly use them again and recommend to others.

Rear house extension

From start to finish, the project was managed professionally and efficiently. They kept to their timetable and were always upfront and honest if our choices in design were impractical and offered good alternative solutions. All the guys working on the extension were considerate and courteous which was greatly appreciated as we were living in the house during the building work. The extension turned exactly how we wanted it and done to a high degree of workmanship. I am hoping to have our bathroom refitted next year and they will be the first people I call for a quote.

Extension and Renovation

I enjoyed working with Fordham’s on our extension and renovation. Communication, administration, attitude and workmanship were all really good. The communication on quoting and invoicing was clear and professional throughout. The original extension project grew into a full renovation. Everyone was flexible, accommodating and worked with me on this. Lee, the Project Manager, is always supportive and nothing is too much trouble. Solutions to challenges that arose were found quickly. We lived in the house throughout the renovation and were well looked after. I would definitely recommend Fordham’s and work with them again.

Good workmanship. A few snags as can be expected but overall very happy

I employed Fordhams to complete an extension, to replace an existing conservatory. The order was placed end of July 2015 and work started 4th August with a projected completion date of end of October. There were some delays with the bi-fold doors and aluminium guttering, both supplied by 3rd party sub-contractors, and this, together with the usual problem of builders not turning up on a pre-specified day due to illness, van catching fire/breaking down etc etc, meant that the final completion of the snag list and handover was not until first week in December. Having said this, I do understand the problems that building companies have, relying on sub-contractors for supply of materials and also bricklayers, carpenters etc, all who have other jobs. But all in all Fordhams did a pretty good job and Lee the foreman was particularly very good at keeping me updated all during the process. At the end of the day, I am very happy with the extension and I guess that's what counts. Rating 8/10.
