At Focus Tuition we focus on what matters - the most important subjects English & Maths. We cover all educational stages from P2 to fifth form and all exams - the SEAG Transfer Test & GCSE English Language & Literature and GCSE Maths. We can help with literacy issues at KS1, giving 1-to-1 tuition to children struggling with phonics and reading.

As well as preparing them for the test, we give our SEAG Transfer Test pupils a good solid grounding in all the topic areas in Maths & English so that they begin the next stage of their education well prepared for KS3. No large groups - SEAG transfer pupils progress as individuals.

We are a locally based tuition centre. We work with 2-3 children at a time, on an individual tuition basis; the children working on their own individual programmes of study, so that they can reach their full potential.

Jan is a qualified English teacher with extensive experience in preparing teens for their GCSE exams in Language and Literature and overall twenty years experience in teaching English and Maths from KS1 to KS3; as well SEAG Transfer tuition. She also prepares 3rd form (Year 10) students for their GCSE English courses.

Our Maths tutor has a Master’s degree in Mathematics, works full-time as a data analyst and has over six years experience as a GCSE Maths tutor, he is also happy to tutor KS3 students in preparation for their GCSE Maths course.
