Bringing hope, opportunities and choices to lives affected by their mental health with or without official diagnosis for young people and adults. Specialising in Eating Disorders

First Steps ED is the Midlands leading mental health and specialist eating disorders charity working in partnership with NHS Healthcare providing services for adults, young people, children and their families impacted by disordered eating and eating disorders. Our staff and volunteer experts by experience support people at school, in college and at university and we work in clients homes and across our communities. As a learning and research organisation we have embraced technology enabled care services and are able to offer support to people of all ages and genders in England through our private and encrypted video clinic service where people in other regions may not be able to easily access local available specialist support services.

Amazing and invaluable service

I’d just like to say what an amazing and invaluable service First Steps ED have provided during the lockdown and continue to provide. The online groups and ChatED I’ve accessed and used (a lot!) and I can honestly say that it has made a massive (positive) difference to my mental health during lockdown. Yes, I’ve had my share of ups and downs, including some particularly difficult episodes, but it has definitely been made easier with First Steps.
