1The job had been finished for nearly a year when they casually announced they had ‘forgotten’ to invoice for £3.6k of hours. They invoiced almost 2 years after the work was done, pushed for immediate payment, threatening legal action. Soon became litigious. We were forced by their lawyers to pay (in instalments), that there was no money left that long after the job had closed being of no concern to them, despite it being their error.
Summary: party wall work is average - same as others I’ve worked with and not half as good as they claim. However, only work with Simon/FH if you’re ok with potentially large financial surprises, no time limit as to when they invoice or for how much. I wouldn't recommend using them after our bad experience.
