HIDDEN COSTS

1
The experience the bride had organising her wedding was extremely stressful and very poor. The venue for the wedding was gorgeous, I cannot fault that. The organisers missed calls, meetings and didn't respond to contact. When they bothered to attend scheduled meetings, information passed to one organiser never made it to the other. There were many many hidden costs and clauses. The drinks packages have hidden clauses. It means a pimms upon arrival, no soft drinks. A hidden cost is the barn hall where the day meal/evening party is held. My sister could have the hall until 11pm. Weeks before the wedding they told her that meant everyone must be out by 11. If she wanted to extend the duration in the hall it would have cost another £200. The starter of trout happened to in fact be salmon. When it came to the evening time and the tables were packed away, they disposed of wine bottles the bride and groom had bought for each table and threw away the drinks upon the tables to clean them up.

Thank you for your review and we are sorry that you were not fully happy with the service received. We do pride ourselves on and care passionately about providing the best service possible to all our customers. In terms of costs this is again something that we are very open with and have displayed in all literature so we are sorry if you felt there were hidden costs involved. It is hard to give a full reply without specific details but would be happy to discuss this further with you if you are able to contact me at Field Place. Thank you, Mark Byerley, Facility Manager

wedding review

The 2 stars iv given is for the setting as it is beautiful , but the service unfortunately does not live up to expectations.... I had my wedding there recently , firstly there are 2 barns adjacent to each other, they hire out both on the same day ,so you are in affect sharing your wedding day , through pure greed on their behalf!!!! it was to late for me to change venue once i found this out !! The staff are rude and unhelpful< Tha manager Mark had not passed on our requsts to the staff , so we were not given what we asked for and when we asked for them they rudely waved the invoice in our faces ,stating it wasnt on the invoice so we couldn't have it ...and last but not least we had a barbecue and were served raw chicken kebabs...oh and also the toilets there are disgusting... it was awful walking into them knowing my wedding dress was trailing on the floor....for the money they must get for the weddings they do surely they can afford to refit the toilets...it was a disgrace.
