Fairfield Golf Club

Founded in 1892 and situated in Tameside, just a short journey from the city of Manchester, the Club is now well into its second century. A great course for all levels of player.

Fairfield is a member of the ‘1892 Club’ – a friendly group of private members golf clubs, all founded in the year 1892. Members can make arrangements with the Secretary of any 1892 club (outside a 75 mile radius of their own club) and book a courtesy round of golf by letter or phone. Please bring a letter of introduction with you on your visit together with your handicap certificate.

Fairfield is parkland course that’s set around a reservoir, so it enjoys quite a unique location compared to the other courses in the area.

A great course for all levels of player, it demands accuracy as opposed to length off most of the tees and you’ll be required to hit the middle of the fairway on a number of holes if you want a shot at the green.

Redesigned a few years ago by Andrew Murray, this is a testing and very enjoyable Par 70, 18 hole course of 6058 yards, with a standard scratch of 69.
