Business overview

A family run garden centre, nurseries and restaurant.

Everton Nurseries was started in 1922 by Mr C G Collyer and grew over the years to some 25 acres, producing a wide range of Trees, Shrubs, Fruit Trees, Conifers, Roses and Herbaceous Perennials, for retail and trade sales. The business is still owned and controlled by the Collyer family.

The garden centre was opened in 1985. Following a substantial re-fit and expansion in 2006, Camellias Coffee Shop and Restaurant was opened.

Nowadays a wide range of plants is still grown on the nursery, and around three quarters of the hardy plants sold in the garden centre are ‘home produced’ Stock is also supplied wholesale to other nurseries, garden centres and landscape contractors across the south of England.

Wake up to survival

We have been customers for many years, and have always found this particular nursery to be excellent in every way. The choice of plants, are of outstanding quality. With no end of good advice and help if needed.
We have also had lunch in the garden centre, once again we can only say how enjoyable it was .
I would like to make a request to the management, during this coronavirus situation could you perhaps allow customers to order from you on line ? Making local deliveries. This could help your business and your customers, I think it’s worth thinking about. I think it’s time businesses started thinking of ideas of how to survive!!! Your business is worth saving, please consider 🤔

Thank you so much for your comments. When we had to close, we took the decission not to offer deliveries so as to minimise the risk to all our staff, We sincerely hope we will be allowed to open again in the not too distant future, and look forward to welcoming you all back. Meantime, Stay safe!
