First time buying a car from a dealership. Highly recommend salesman, Colin Montgomery, very honest and so helpful. Bought my car and drove away a week later. He sorted everything and he couldn’t of been a more genuine and positive person.

Brought a car from Taylor the salesman recently and received “god tier” customer service from him and his supporting team throughout the dealership. Me and my wife saw the car online and within 2 hours we arrived at Evans Hal Vauxhall Shiremoor. The dealership itself was clean and welcoming with descent coffee in the waiting area. All the staff gave a nice smile when walking past which is a good sign. The sales manager Vitaly bent over backwards to keep us happy and really helped us out with the deal and I cannot thank him enough for that.

Dealership is a lovely place to be in and has a nice atmosphere. Well done to all staff - as you made our visit.

All in all, we were extremely pleased with our experience of buying a car from Taylor and Vitaly and would highly recommend anyone to do the same. They were professional and kept it contact throughout the process. I have never been to a garage which has such a nice atmosphere and good, friendly people that actually want to help you.

I decided to ignore reviews about Evans Halshaw, as most of them are on the negative side and give them a chance. I bought a used Land Rover Freelander 2 from them. Purchased over the telephone and they shipped it to Plymouth. For a 6 year old car it was in pretty good condition. There were a few minor issues with the vehicle, small niggles like missing engine under tray, brake cable needed to be replaced, air vent blower wheel had broke etc, but have to say that this was all sorted out free of charge without quibble. I had some suspension work done by my local specialist because of an annoying knock, which didn't think that would ever see the money for again but to my delight, an email to the Newcastle dealership and within a week a cheque for the work done arrived in the post. Everyone is very quick to post negative reviews so I thought I'd post one to restore people's faith in large dealerships.

I have never been made to feel so uncomfortable in a dealership before. I went in with full intentions of buying a car and left never wanting to return.

The sales person I spoke to was rude and arrogant, and tried to pressurize me into buying the car before I had even seen it. When I asked if I could test drive the car before we talk figures he walked off returning some 15 minutes later with another sales exec telling me he couldn't be bothered as he had another customer coming so some one else can deal with me instead.

Never again will I go to Evans Halshaws, worst experience in a nationwide dealership.
