They are impossible to contact; never respond to emails or letters and rarely answer the phone. If you are unfortunately caught up in a contract with them do not pay them any more money until you are totally satisfied that they have completed the job, and even then withhold at least 10% for a minimum of six months to see what faults develop once they’ve left; as it’s otherwise impossible to get them to come back to rectify any problems.
I signed a contract and paid deposit in October 2017 for work in November 2017. Despite many phone calls by me and repeated promises from the firm about a starting date, nothing had been done by March 2018. I phoned, emailed and sent a tracked letter saying that they were in breach of contract, and requesting my deposit back. During more phone calls I was told that my cheque was being sent, but once again no action. After further calls, letter and email, I now have to go to court to get my deposit money back.
