It's mainly a well established fish and chip restaurant which appears to be family run. It does do take away however. Not cheap but very good quality food. Does have pies as well. You have to wait 30 minutes if you want a real Yorkshire fish fritter. This is because you must do a fritter at a lower range temperature. Hence my quality comment. Clean and airy seating. First class business !

Absolutely with out a doubt the best fish and chips we have ever eaten . We come from Leeds to visit family here and always eat here , the staff are friendly and polite .. not sure on another review they have always really nice to deal with I would highly recommend this place .. best fish and chips in Whitby

Fish and chips were very nice. I can’t knock the quality. Portion sizes especially the fish were ridiculously small, this would have been fine if the price reflected this. £16 for fish and chips twice and two cardboard cups of tea as takeaway is quite excessive for the portion sizes.

Stopped there for a takeaway for tea, the quality of the fish was superb, the meal was piping hot and not greasy, the young man who served us had impeccable customer service would 100% recommend Eskdale Fisheries.
