Business overview
Emmaus North East is a homelessness charity with a difference – providing more than just a bed for the night to people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion.
Emmaus offers two types of North East house clearance services to our customers.
Our North East house clearance services range from a selective removal service to a full house clearance service.
Our selective house clearance service also known as cherry pick service results in a partially empty property, where our team removes selected items that we feel we can sell on in our charity shops, please note we are only able to take up to 5 items of furniture with this service.
Our full house clearance service results in a completely empty property. The team takes care of packing and removing everything, both unwanted items and those we can resell in our charity shops. The service covers South Shields, Gateshead, North Tyneside, Durham, Northumberland and South Tyneside. Prices for this service start at £150
All proceeds from our house clearance services provide us with an income to sustain our charity and community. We provide accommodation for up to 22 formerly homeless people, ready to make a fresh start. As well as a home, we provide work, education and training to help them to gain employment in the future. Our residents work in our social enterprise undertaking house clearances, recycling furniture and household goods and also alongside local volunteers in all Emmaus North East shops.

Great house clearance team 5*
5Personal service at a good price
5Swift, economic removal of unwanted stuff that helps a charity. What's not to like!
5They left with a transit van full. Job well done. Cost me a sight less than a quote I had from a conventional rubbish remover. If it had all been items of value I was donating, they'd have done it for free. If you have a need for disposing of anything up to a full house clearance, contact Emmaus.
Better stuff goes to a good cause and recycled than just dumped in landfill. Don
