Business overview

Dedicated to providing exceptional care & attention for your Pet

The Practice was established in 1971 in New Barnet by Geoffrey Paradise. Forty years later the practice is still independently owned and continues to provide a friendly, caring & professional service for the local community. We do not have any Branch Surgeries: all of our facilities are on one site. We moved to brand new premises in February 2011.

We work in partnership with our clients to find the most suitable solution to their pet health needs.

We offer the following services;

•Appointments throughout the day, seven days per week.

•A full range of surgical and diagnostic procedures, carried out on site by our Veterinary Surgeons.

•An out-of-hours emergency service. This is provided at the Cat Hill Surgery Monday to Friday, when the surgery is closed and by the Royal Vet College after hours on Saturday and Sunday. Just phone the normal surgery number to get the mobile phone number for the emergency vet.

•Free Nurses Clinics - these include dental checks, flea checks, advice etc

Reviews

Exceptional service and great care.

East Barnet Vets have looked after my cocker spaniel since she was a puppy. They have always offered her exceptional care. She recently underwent a cruciate ligament operation and was looked after brilliantly by kind and caring nursing staff as well as the vet who undertook her operation. A nurse even helped us lift her into the car after the operation. The aftercare has been excellent and she was quickly back to her old self. I can't recommend them highly enough.

A disappointing experience

2
I can comment based on our first (and last) visit. Within 10 minutes of us being there they were trying charge us £400 for full blood tests and an x-ray for our sneezing cat. It felt like overkill so I resisted, they then suggested a £20 course of antibiotics that got rid of the sneezing. I was disappointed at how casually they suggested the first thing to do was spend such a large sum of money when there was a much cheaper alternative to start with, we will be trying a new vet next time.
