Had a few mis-steps on a long Beacons hike which meant it turned into a night hike. One of the party picked up an ankle injury, so we didn't make the New Inn Ystradfellte for an evening meal as expected. A deep frost was setting in and time was getting on and at nearly 1:30am I decided to try to get a cab back to Neath. I wasn't expecting success. The first cab firm put the phone down on me twice for no reason at all. The 2nd firm told us it was too far out that time of night. Then I tried Eagle, Vaughan was very professional and he was with us within half an hour to convey us safely home.
