For anything other than a simple MOT, avoid like the plague! The workmanship is rough and slap-dash, they will prevaricate and avoid honest dialogue masking their questionable competency. My recent experience involved their cutting of a new caliper guide pin gaiter, of which I was not informed, and my wheel bolts being torqued way, way too much. When confronted about these points, they remained adamant they'd done nothing wrong. Even as it was pointed out that the correct wheel stud torque should be 74ftlb and suggested he could make a simple search on-line regarding the BMW E30 models, he wasn't prepared to do this - there was gardening to do when he returned home, but I was still wrong and he was right! If mechanics get these basics wrong AND cause damage - albeit minor - WITHOUT FESSING UP, warning sirens should sound. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

Alan has been servicing my cars for years and has always done an excellent job. Alan is a true mechanic, not a fitter. He will take something to bits and get it going again rather than just keep replacing bits till the problem is solved, and he will solve it. He is a very helpful and obliging person and my cars are all the better for it. I wouldn't take them anywhere else. thanks
