I had 3 quotes from local companies, quotation was for ongoing service and to replace a SIM card module on a pyronix enforcer for a WiFi module, only parts required are the module... which costs £64.49.
1st quote was £144.00 all in, 2nd quote all in was £256.86 Dragons quote was £540.00 100% more than the most expensive quote....with ongoing yearly cost of £156 ongoing yearly cost with quote 1 was £72.00. I’d suggest you all shop around and be carful if DF&S.

Good Afternoon Stephen H, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy and I am carefully looking into your claims. On many occasions we find that not all quotes are the same. In this example, have you checked that the cheapest company: 1) Is NSI Gold approved for intruder alarms 2) Is VAT registered 3) has investigated if your control panel is over 3 years old - because if it is, then the wi-fi card may not work with your control panel's version of the software. They will then probably try to sell you a new control panel at extra cost - it's a common tactic... We are one of the largest alarm companies in the South West of the UK and offer a genuine 24/7 alarm engineer service. "One man bands" can sometimes appear cheaper but may not be available on a Friday night when your system needs an emergency repair. High quality intruder alarm fitted by dragon, replacing my unreliable visonic system fitted by another company. the service was brilliant every step of the way. The surveyor, answered every question I threw at him and was very professional, friendly and reassuring. The system fitted is a big improvement and delivers exactly what he said it would. I can even set and unset the alarm when im on holiday and the voice alert is a dream! We had cameras fitted as well and they give us amazing pictures both in the day and at night. All In all, we are very happy with Dragon and wished we used them sooner than we did.

I have found Dragon security company to be the best security company in Cardiff. I have used a number of security companies in the past which have let me down so badly! They are so helpful and friendly. I would like to thank all the team for their professional attitude as it's made my life so much easier! I can rest that my home and place of work is in safe hands. Thanks again.

Wow, talk about a game of 2 halves......

The security system system was fitted without fuss and seems to do everything required of a house security system. However......we are now 18 months down the line and, thanks to a couple of local power cuts, the system is playing up, even to the point of the alarms ringing when the system isn't armed. I rang Dragon who quoted me a figure of £120 just to come out and take a look at it, any required parts would be extra. I consider this to be shocking for an 18 month old system.
Any potential customers be warned, if their systems go wrong you will have to pay through the nose for them to sort it out. I told them I thought their price was extortionate, their response? ' Oh well, goodbye then'.
