Dobbies Garden Centre Stapleton

My self and partner visited a week before Christmas. We basically went to have a coffee and cake. There wasn’t much of a queue in the restaurant but service was very slow , it took 20 mins to get asked what we’d like to drink. My partner is cealiac so can’t eat wheat flour . Unfortunately they don’t do cake which is gluten free so she had the smallest piece of tiffin for £2.35. For such a big garden centre/ coffee shop this is very poor. We often visit palmers and they have a great range of gluten free. Come on dobbies, keep up with the times it’s not hard to get suitable food.
Disappointing visit.

Expensive 65p for a 1ozs of strawberry jam to go with your scones.Their having a laugh at the customers expense.Same jam at Cherry Lane at Coutesthorpe 26p

We are regular users of the Children’s soft play area,and overall the garden centre and outlets too. However lately we have been very disappointed in the level of cleanliness in the play area.The seats are filthy,the tables are left stacked with dirty dishes,and whole area has a really fusty smell,it needs a real good clean !.The soft play area is obviously not policed either with people not paying,and children far too big for the equipment able to play in an area only suited to younger children .The cafe is not up to scratch either too few staff,and long long waits for hot drinks ,staff couldn’t care less

I love coming here at Christmas. They always have a great display with lots of lovely decorations. It always looks pretty and magical. This is a large wyevale and has lots of things to look at.
