Diamond Dolls Hair & Beauty

I purchased a Wowcher a few months back to use at Diamond Dolls which was for a wash, cut, conditioning treatment and blow dry. The value for this was priced at £48 but was £14 with the voucher. Being mixed race and there not being many business near my area that cater for afro-caribbean hair, I wanted to try it out. As a precaution, I telephoned DD before purchasing the voucher to ensure that the treatment was suitable for afro/relaxed hair, which I was told it was. On arrival the young girl who was doing hair that day did a consultation to ask about my hair, which I thought was great and then said what she would do that day which was a wash and cut. I questioned the "conditioning treatment" as to me that means a treatment that is put on your hair and you are then sat under a heater so that the treatment penetrates the hair, however, she corrected me that it just meant the regular conditioner you put on after a shampoo. So I figured I may have read the voucher wrong. The girl was very chatty and polite, however I felt that my hair wasn't washed for long enough after the shampoo/conditioner had been applied and so it felt tacky when I left....having very thick hair, it takes a while for products to be rinsed out. After my hair had been finished I looked at the voucher and I was correct in thinking it was a "conditioning treatment" and by looking at the leaflet I picked up as I left, the amount added up to the £48 for a wash, cut and finish....plus a deep conditioning treatment. Now, I don't want to sound like I'm being petty but it really frustrates me that when businesses advertise something as one thing and then give you something completely different. Why bother going on websites that offer deals and vouchers to gain new custom if you're not going to honour it? People like myself will just walk away feeling like they've been lied too and conned. It's unfortunate that this particular business has done that as DD is very local to me and I would have recommended if I felt that I had been given what had been stated. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.
