Derwentside Funeral Service is an independent, family run business which was founded in 1981. Providing a bespoke service to the people of Derwentside.

Our highest priorities are dignity, trust, unrivalled care and attention to the deceased. We are here to help bereaved families at a time of need, as if they were one of our own relatives. Our discreet team will help you through the necessary funeral arrangements with the utmost of care.

They did my granddaughters funeral 10th January 2020 and they were brilliant with my daughter and did my granddaughter proud. They went and picked her up from the morgue and put her in a moses basket until her coffin was ready. They were very patient with my daughter. Personal service excellent and the Chapel of rest is so welcoming and not clinical.
